Hard drive: unknown but uses new SATA cable

i don't usually play in eyefinity unless i know its a high fps game, but even at 1920x1080 i was expecting more from it to be honest.

What exactly are you judging its performance by? Are you playing games, running photoshop, bootup, etc?

From a gaming perspective, I would immediately point out the HD 6850 as a "weak point" if you're expecting to run modern games at 1080p+ with medium to high settings.

I am a big believer in SSDs, so if your computer feels sluggish running general tasks (bootup, browsers, etc.) then perhaps look into those.

Yeah the 6850 is the equivalent of a 7770. Which is entry level. It's good for medium at 1080, but if you are looking for higher settings I would say the 650ti boost/7850 is the starting point.

Hi, you don't want a piece of C4 on your rig :(
See this -> http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/psus/118103/sumvision-power-x-500w

I know it's not the model in question, but you can be assured that's utter junk.
First for more performance in gaming @ 1080p, you need a better card the 6850 isn't that good for it, i'd recommend a 7870 tahiti le or 7950(the 7970 too if you can afford it), but not with that crappy psu, get a proper one from brands like seasonic,xfx,antec,corsair, pc power and cooling within 500-600W.
I recommend personally the XFX 550 Core edition ;)

It blew up because it's an Alpine... Only get units from reliable brands and look for a review for it from a site such as JonnyGuru, Hardware Secrets, TechPowerup etc...

Getting stable reliable power with low ripple is extremely important to insure the life and stability of a system. Not to mention getting a higher efficient unit will save you on the power bill too.

Hard to go wrong with Seasonic or Corsair PSUs. Antecs can be good as well.

If you step up to a new GPU you really need to upgrade your PSU at the same time. I would definitely not connect anything stronger than the current HD6850 to the Sumvision unit currently installed.

I've been looking and the corsair seems to be the better option, ive also heard there name before i think for some ram. ill be upgrading the PSU before the GPU though after what ive heard :)

Hi, it depends on what corsair psu, the CX series isn't a good choice, since it has inferior capacitors and its made by cwt, actually corsair doesn't make psus, their best line is made by seasonic and flextronics.
I'd say that the XFX 550 core edition is a good choice if you're in the usa or uk/europe, since it's a seasonic psu for a good price ;)
