So I got a virus on my main desktop. I accidentally deleted the partions so now I can't format the drive/ reload my XP pro sp3.

I have two laptops which I run the same OS on. I bought a cord to hook the desktop to the laptop to try and import the drives (Scsi) [I have no idea what I am doing, just figuring it out as I go]. I got a message on my laptop that the charge was too much and so that won't work.

No my question is: Where in my laptop can I find my SCSI drivers so that I can load them to the desktop by cd so that I can load the OS back in? They are using the same drivers right or are they online somewhere for the desktop ? How do I do that in the bios ?

I have never heard of a SCSI drive on a laptop so I am assuming you are not trying to install SCSI on the laptops . If I am reading your post correctly, your HDs on the desktop are SCSI and you want to know how to download the drivers to the laptop and then transfer to the desktop. The best way would be to find the appropriate drivers, download to your laptop HD, and then burn them to a CD / DVD

ty so much, I had a friend walk me through it & I did not need the cord I purchase... my only problem now I think is loading the correct drivers for that system cause I rebooted/ reloaded XP from one of my laptop disks, lol
It keeps saying that drivers are no meant for the system but then they work... lol
Also, at certain points it just does not respond to anything...
I am assuming that is the problem now...
