BSoD when Overclocking

hey guys,

so i i have the fx6300 cpu and 212 Evo that came today in post,

i had the fx6300 running okay at 4.2ghz, but i know its capable of hitting 4.5ghz on this cooler, however i just BSoD and im not sure what im doing wrong, i have never overclocked before, my mobo is gigabyte 990XA-UD3 rev 1.

fx6300
gtx 480
gigabyte 990XA-UD3
8gb 1333mhz
120gb OCZ agility 3
xpredatorx1 white gaming tower
TX650
500gb 7200rpm
212 evo plus cpu cooler

bsod means unstable OC. it means that the voltage combinations that you have are not working at the clock speed. try upping the vcore a little. (make sure you know the limits of the vcore prior) also, monitor temps and test via prime95 for a few hours.

i had it at x21 multiplier, and 1.650 voltage on cpu, the temps where about 32c on 100% load :S i ran prime95 and it blue screened after about 20 mins and no error came up on prime95 :S

hahaha holy shit im lucky then, what ghz do you think i could get outa this cooler and cpu combo on 1.5v

got it at 4.5ghz 1.5v and running at 45-47c 100% cpu usage on prime95

been running prime 95 for 1 hour now and no errors etc.. and temps are good correct?
