NO device found bios not foung

hi all i have a problem i have a very old computer and i just buy a sata dvd burner ( Liteon Ihas 124) but i cant connect it because it has ide ports: I have brought a pci sata controler and after i pluged everything on and installed a driver i am asked to restart my computer: after i have done that my computer start and i get the massage sata 150tx2plus Bios version 1.00.0.24 no device is found bios is not installed

in bootup, when (or close to it) you see the pci card bios version. check to see if there is a click this button for setup or bios or something like that message. most pci raid cards are like that. might need some brief configuration or something.
