Total price on newegg (plus a dvd burner and shipping)= $630
Any suggestions? Also do I need an SSD?

This is mu suggestion. better graphics card. And aftermarket cooler. (Trust me the stock Phenom cooler is loud) and when you decid to overlcok you will be happy you got it.)

Decent budget build. you would have better results if you could make it up to a 7850 gpu. What is your max budget. for a budget build like this. you generally wouldn't put in a SSD. SSD can make load times faster. but will not really have an effect on gaming.

For the money, you could also consider an Intel-based build, consisting of a Core-i3 3220 or 3225 and a B75-based motherboard. There are plenty of CPU/Mobo combos available with a final cost of $175 to $225, which is on-par with or just slightly more than the $180 for the AMD-based CPU and mobo. The remaining components could essentially stay the same, and an Intel-based build would definitely be more power-efficient.
