Amd phenom II 965 good for gaming?

Just a quick question- is the amd phenom 2 965 good for gaming? Will it be overheat if I play games like bf3 or t:a? I will be using either a h100 or h100i, haven't decided yet. Please leave your thoughts on this thread below.

Do u recommend any other CPU coolers besides the one I mentioned? I am hearing some pretty good responses on the hyper 212s. I am not sure what to make of its though. :(

I run the Hyper 212 Evo on my 965 and have no issue with heat but bare in mind that my PC case is a high air flow wind tunnel. With all fans on low except the cooler fans my high temps hit around 55-58°C depending on ambient temp. Full fans I hit 52°C using Intel Burn Test. During a gaming session of a few hours my max high temps hit 46°C. So if i have temps like this with a cheaper cooler the water cooling solutions will be much better as long as they are over the H70 series.

EDIT: OCed to 4.04 @ 1.52V
