Will someone help me choose a motherboard for my rig?

Hi,

I'm new to the whole "build your own computer" thing. For the past two days i've been researching what the best CPU and GPU for my computer would be. I've already chosen these two pieces of hardware (listed below) but now I have to now do the unfeasible task of choosing a motherboard. I have no idea where to start, i've tried learning all the lingo for it but it is too much for me. I'm hoping someone could give me some ideas for a motherboard that would suit my needs.

For my CPU, I chose the intel i7 2600k processor.
For my GPU, I chose the XFX HD 7870.

I'm mainly using this computer for video editing/multimedia/heavy gaming. Any good recommendations for a motherboard?
