I bought my laptop with windows 7 built in, and about 2 months ago upgraded to windows 8. Last night I installed Sims on my laptop and it ran fine. I wanted to go back to windows 7 however to have all my games on my task bar and all my other stuff such as browser and tools in the start menu. I installed windows 7 a few hours ago and everything seemed fine.

I installed sims again and it said that my graphics card wasn't good enough. FUDGE. so i updated it using AMD catalyst thing so now it loads up to the EA logo and goes super pixely. My graphics card is apparently a radeon HD 4200 but it cant be, sims requirements don't include that graphics card I mean I was running sims yesterday and other games like limbo and lego hp.

Additional information--

I want my original OS back, the one that I got with the computer. I cant seem to find the factory reset. I know there is one because before I got windows 8 I factory reset this laptop on windows 7 to get rid of a virus. Just can't find it now. It was somewhere on control panel.

When I installed windows 7 today it also deleted my wireless driver. So I had to go online (different pc) and download it so I could get on the internet again.

So what has happened to my graphics card?

What is the expected outcome if I put my windows 8 disk back in and upgrade again?

What would happen if I factory restore. Would it give me back the actual restore of the first time I had windows 7?

CONCL--

My laptop is a Packard bell, easy note or something like that.

Apparently with a raedon HD 4200 graphics card.

Factory reset will give u the OS as the first u receive the laptop... including all the driver software and bloatware that in it....

usually u need to press a certain button in post screen (F2 or esc or etc..)...

The problem, I'm suspecting when u installing windows 8 the boot process/system is changed... (I'm not quite familiar with it so cannot help more than that)
