Hello,

I am looking for new GPU. I founded that Asus GTX 680 DC2 has two version which is OC and TOP version. Some people says its their core clock different. But in reality gamig situation, did these two cards perform the same performance ?

Core i7 3770k
Kingston HyperX 8GB ddr3 ram
Gigabyte z77x-ud3h mobo
1920x1080 single monitor display

Thanks.

The TOP has over 100mhz more base clock so yes there is a difference in performance. The performance difference isn't huge and the OC version can be further overclocked (results vary). Essentially you are paying for a guaranteed better factory clock with the TOP.

yes they were the same but the TOP version have cherry pick chip inside it. the one that might able to OC much higher compared to other OC version without TOP moniker.

ASUS handpick their chip so pick the TOP version (better overclocking and stability)

experience with OC and TOP card: two 560ti from each as i return the OC version (OC was topping at 930 and 940mhz on the core and the TOP was way over 1000mhz, in fact 1025 for one card and 1068 for the other but they're supposed to be the same cards and chip... just that ASUS pick the best gpu to put in their TOP card...)

Yes it's factory oc out the box What’s really impressive about this card is the stock boost. While rated at 1137 MHz, when running a benchmark, the card runs closer to 1300 MHz (peaking at 1293 MHz and hovering near there for the entirety) than it does to its rated 1137 MHz. It truly is a thing of beauty. Built like it can withstand Armageddon, with great looks to boot. It even ships with a good looking backplate, which is more than can be said about some cards that require them to be purchased separately.
