I'm confused with all the different chices in matching memory.
Is the G.Skill Ares f3-1866c9d-8GAB memory compatible with an AMD a10-5800k and an Asus f2a85-v pro board?
thank you for your help.

pas on the solution love if this answers your questions.

Thank you atomicWAR for the quick response.
I was concerned the memory might not be compatible as this particular memory is not listed in the Asus f2a85-v pro motherboard manual nor is the this motherboard listed in the compatible list of G.Skill for this memory.

thats very typical....they only release a handful of vendors...and rarely update it when new ram comes out. what counts is speed rating and voltage....and both are in spec with amd cpu's and motherboards...(the memory controller is actually not on the motherboard but the cpu ;)
