Hi everyone,

I have a question about adding new fans to my CM Hyper 212 Evo.

Right, I currently use ASUS AISuite to adjust my case fans and CPU fan speeds but I want to add 2 new fans to the Hyper 212. And I have 2 spare brand new Corsair SP120 High Performance 2350rpm fans laying around, so I thought I would use those. But they are only 3-pin fans and my motherboard (Z77 Sabertooth) doesn't allow rpm changes through the CPU headers to 3-pin fans, only 4-pin PWM fans, so they would spin at full tilt all the time.

Soooo, my question is would it be ok to plug the 2 new fans into normal 3-pin case fan headers on the MoBo but link them to the CPU temp with the AISuite software to adjust the rpm???
At the moment I have my case fans being controlled by the AISuite and they are linked to the CPU temp, so they speed up and slow down according to the CPU temp.

In my mind it would work, but I just wanted a second opinion.

Thanks everyone

Arhhh, that's one of the things I was concerned about. Would disabling the CPU QFan control in the BIOS get around that do you think???
