I just got a new case and transferred the innards of my old dell xps 8300 into an aerocool xpredator x1 case. I power on the new computer but the mobos light is amber/orange and beep 5 times then 5 times again and again and again. According to the xps 8300 manual this "could" mean that the problem is a real time clock failure. (http://gyazo.com/e236501cb99fc1bb1d21b55484c4a4ea << link for list of xps 8300 beep errors) I read that it could be the cmos battery that needs replacing but I just tried a new battery and no luck. And I did use the same type of battery as the last one which is 3v2032. What else can cause the real time failure to occur and how can I fix them? ANY help is much appreciated, it's spring break today and I just wanna play games with my new 660 ti top :'(
Specs:
core i7 3400
gtx 560 ti (waiting to put 660 ti inside when I fix computer)
8gb ram
650 watt psu

Thanks for the fast response :) I don't have a the dell power supply anymore, now I have Corsair TX650 watt enthusiast series, and yes I just made sure the 4 pin and 24 pin were secure. Still getting 5 beeps :/

Umm, there's is 1 screw that isn't connected because that part of the board wouldn't push down far enough. There are 8 or nine screw holes in the mobo but there is one screw not in because it couldn't reach the case. I'll try and connect it now and get reply with results, fingers crossed eh.
