I have looked everywhere for this process, but I can't seem to find an exact answer to my problem. What I want to do is clone a 256 GB SSD from my already-in-use 64 GB SSD (so basically upgrading size). All the research I did comes up with HDD to SDD and most of them are within windows 7. So... the details:
I have windows 8 installed on the 64 GB SSD. I am upgrading the size because some of my games on steam won't run on any drive but the C: (I have a 1 TB HDD for the E: drive that stores most of my other programs and software like 3ds max and Photoshop without an issue).
Can I do this transfer without having to reinstall anything or without deleting the registry entries for all the programs on the E:? Is there any way I can just trick my computer into thinking that the same drive just somehow got bigger?
