I basically have the same setup and it works great. I have the overclocked Galaxy version of the GTX 670 and it's cheaper than the EVGA version and I haven't had any problems with it. Think it was $330 after rebates etc. I've had absolutely no luck with Nvidia cards in the past and certain games seem to not work well with them, so that's the only part I'd disagree with from the other poster. Also, get a SSD that's at least big enough to put Windows on (at least 120 gb). You can find a decent one for $80-$100 and still use the large 1TB drive for storage etc. You will be able to max out most applications, but not all. However, maxing out every setting will cost you a lot more too. I believe your choices are the happy medium of performance without hitting $2000+.

BTW, my windows score is 7.6, limited by my moderate i5-2500K OC to 4.2Ghz, memory 7.8, graphics 7.9.
