Which CPU cooler is best for me?

Alright, I'm back again looking for ANOTHER CPU cooler.

I bought an Antec Kuhler 920, and as a result of that I ended up having to, through no fault of my own, get a new motherboard and CPU.

That explains why I am very wary of watercooling, so what I need is some suggestions as to a Sub-£50 cooler.

I'm currently using an Arctic Freezer Pro Rev.2 on my FX-6300, and have a small overclock on it. But I want to go higher, so I would like to replace it.

My CM Storm Scout case can fit a 120mm cooler. I have been continuously told that the CM Hyper 212 EVO is the best 120mm CPU cooler, but I can't help but think to myself that something like a Prolimatech Meghalems must beat it, surely?

I may be coaxed back into water cooling, so just to let you know I have a 120mm rear fan grille and a 140mm top fan grille.

So, what are your recommendations?

Thanks in advance
Luke

I can't seem to find the 212+ here in Britain, only the 212EVO. Is it worth spending the extra bit of my budget on two better Red LED fans? And will it be a lot better than my 92mm Arctic?

Many Thanks
Luke

I think that I shall probably be getting these fans: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-004-PL

They're designed for the Prolimatech heatsinks. They're quiet, have good Stat. Pressure and are Red LED. Thoughts?

No not really just get the Hyper 212 evo and use it as it comes no need to waste more money on different fans. ;)

I use a Zalman CNPS 9900 to cool my 8350 that I OC to 4.5ghz and I run nice and cool. Plus these coolers are relatively cheap and run great. Water cooling runs into the ever looming danger of leakage O. o. You can always try the Noctua D14. That thing is a beast.

Thanks for the help guys - got a used Hyper 212+ and fitted two of my own Akasa Red LED fans to it. Looks great, and Idle temps have dropped from 34-37C to 28-30C, with load temps dropping all the way from 58-63C to 47-50C! Great stuff.
