I replaced my motherboard with the Gigabite GA-78LMT-USB3 today and have not been able to get my system to work ever since, It will power up but does no get to the bios or any further.
System, Phenom II x6 1045t, Nvidia GT640, Ancient HDD that doesn't have master/slave settings (I use an external for everything besides windows).
CD drive does not open so i believe may be an issue with the IDE cable connecting it and the HDD to the board, although changing it does nothing

Solution
Yea. Above all, gotta make sure all of your mobo power slots are properly populated.

The 2x3 spare you mention, I presume that's actually a PCI power connector. The 2x2 is going to be for your mobo's cpu power slot. If your mobo has a 2x4 up there, you're looking for a new PSU.
