Hi,
I need help setting up the 3D vision discover mode. According to topics, you need to enable the 3D vision discover mode in start menu but that option is not available for me. I've installed latest drivers and did a clean install but still no luck. Am i missing something? at some point, option was available in nvidia control panel and i was able to run wizard to setup but cant seem to do it now.

here are my specs:
win 7 x64 pro
hp elitebook 8540p
nvidia NVS5100

The link you've given is for Geforce line and for 3d vision. I'm talking about 3d vision discover and the fact is that i've run its wizard setup before so its definitely not a matter of supported or not. Its either with setting or with drivers.

It looks like 3D Vision discover is a form of anagraphic 3D. Have you check under the Nvidia Control panel? Right click the desktop and look near the bottom left for "stereoscopic 3D".

I'm pretty sure when they said, control panel, they are referring to the Nvidia Control Panel, not the one in the Start Menu.

exactly. this is the main problem. "stereoscopic 3D" option is not available in nvidia control panel. 3d vision is installed. and i've alse done a clean install with serveral different drivers from oem as well as nvidia site.

Ok. so i found the solution. The thing is that nvidia disables the stereoscopic option on notebook's native display. apparently its a request from notebook manufacturers so i need to connect ANY external display that enables the 3d option in nvidia control panel.

The link I've provided is the hardware requirement for 3D vision DISCOVER. "discover" is even part of the link name. How does that not fit this scenario?
