Hello,

My video card is failed.

It was a quadro fx 1500

I have to buy a new one, I have only a 90$ budget and I need an advice.

My desktop contains the followings:

Processor:
Intel '06
Pentium D
945 SL900
3,40 GHz

Power supply: 550W

Motherboard: P5WdG2 WS Professional

1920x1080 max resolution Display

I use the PC mainly for SolidWorks and
and perhaps I will use it for Blender.

I play PC games once a year.

I am thinking about to choose from the following video cards:

Quadro fx 1700

Ati Radeon HD 4830 GDDR5 / 6570 DDR3 / 6670 DDR3 / (6770 DDR3)

Nvidia Geforce GT 440 GDDR5 / 630 DDR3 / (640 DDR3)

Nvidia Geforce GTS 450 DDR3

Would you recommend one or two from the above mentioned please?

Thank you in advance.

For CAD you might wanna go AMD, Nvidia is mostly based for gaming and for the price difference, you'll get better value with AMD. From the choices you have listed the HD6770. GDDR5 is mostly for film and video game needs, CAD doesn't have the strings to utilize it properly. For an honorable mention Nvidia GT 640 isn't bad either.

I'm working with 3D CAD for couple years for T-Com Croatia. So i'm doing all of that on my workstation that has 9800GT 1024MB and works perfect. GT630 is closest to it, a few % better acctually so i would recomend that one and it's not expensive one.

Thanks for the advices to all of you!
I found on the ebay a Firegl V7300 for 48 Euro + delivery cost. And I also found the X1950Pro as recomendation for CAD here:

What is your opinion about these two?
