Hi,

Can anyone help me to dual boot my Asus N56VM-AB71 with windows 7 and Linux mint. this laptop is not showing any option in BIOS for boot selection or UEFI disable.
I am struggling to do the dual boot for the past 2 weeks. I almost tried all the methods available in Google, but it either screws my windows install or no boot for Linux. I don't want to do wubi method of linux install and I am OK to install any Linux distro.

So, if anyone faced similar kind of problem and have solution to share please let me know....

Thanks in advance...

Regards
karthik

Solution

press [ESC] when booting to get to the boot selection.
also i don't believe that laptop ships with UEFI at all.

hi,
thanks ....my problem is not with bios. i know how to do boot setting in bios ...but it is with successful dual boot...it either directly boots into win 7 even after Linux install or it struck with grub window...i hope you understood this problem...please let me know your suggestion to fix this...
