Hi,

My fans are constantly running on 100% and they are really loud and annoying. I want to turn them down because my case stays at 35 degrees even when gaming. I have 2 200m fans and 1 120m fan. All of them are connected directly to the mother board via 3 pin connectors. I have heard that you have to have 4 pin connectors to control fan speeds and I have heard that you only need 3, so i don't know.

I would prefer to use my bios (gigabyte 3d bios) to change the speeds, but I would be willing to try speedfan again. When I tried speedfan last time I was only able to control the cpu fan and the fan plugged into sysfan 1.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

For what you want to do your best option is to get a fan controller. Some are cheap and they can get expensive but will do exactly what you want. I will edit this post with a link to one on newegg. Speedfan will not do what you want. I actually find that program more problematic than useful. Temps are often wrong and it does not control fans (other than CPU) 90% of the time.

EDIT: there are ones with knobs and touch ones like the one I linked. The fans plug into this and this adjusts the fan speed.
