Hi, i tried overclocking my athlon 64x2 4200+ cpu and it went wrong, my pc crashed and now will not
Boot up at all, when switched on nothing happens monitor dosent come on no signal, have i fried my cpu

is there is a clear cmos jumper on the motherboard? if not unplug the PC from the wall and remove the cmos battery from the motherboard and wait 1-2 mins then install it and try to reboot. this resets the bios back to default. If you do have the jumper put the jumper from the center and "now" uncovered pin then place back to the way it is now. this does the same thing just easier.

here is a pic of a clear cmos jumper. usually labeled cmos on the board itself. And battery slightly out of pic, looks like a watch battery.

Ive tried the battery no luck, also because my board is the k9n SLI there is a cmos reset button i pressed it and still no luck, when i overclocked the cpu i only increased the frequency from 200mhz to 230mhz which Would have me 2.59ghz if worked, didnt alter Voltage, not site whats gone wrong
