Hi,
I have a sapphire HD 7950, 810mhz version. From what I read in the forums, people are getting good fps and clockspeeds when overclocking a 7950. but whenever I try overclocking mine even at 1000mhz, it crashes soon after starting benchmarking. I have the latest beta drivers installed and my CPU is i7-3770K at 3.5ghz.

I've last had it stable at 950mhz, don't accurately remember the voltages but it was a bit higher than the stock voltages. Will try the driver roll back to previous one. I use trixx and catalyst that came with the cards.

yeah roll back the drivers and then try a bump to 1000mhz...just be aware you may never hit it. if it is still unstable try a little more voltage as long as your temp are ok.

So you can clock a 810mhz card to 950mhz stable, but 1000mhz doesn't work?

Dr, my arm hurts when I put it up like this. Then, don't put it up like this.

Moral is, don't overclock to a 1000. Just because others get that, doesn't mean you will, and there is no expectation that you should.

Tried the driver roll back and everything, but this card would just not go over 950mhz. Too bad I can't get a refund for poor overclocking :(

Thanks for your help guyz :)

If you want a more powerful card, buy one. Overclocking is not a right. lol.
