Ok so recently for some reason i have been having issues with gaming on Xbox. My ISP is Charter Communications and i have ran a Speed test and i have 20Mbps Download Speed and 2.61Mbps Upload Speed which is pretty normal and my NAT Type is Open but for some reason my Ping has skyrocketed. It normally is about 24ms but lately its been about 170-220ms i dont know why? My router and modem are running fine. I had my Xbox wirelessly connecting to my router which was about 25-30ft from it and i was having an issue in Call of Duty where i would have a 1 bar or 2 bar and 3 bar at best. I normally only have a 3 bar or 4 bar. I moved my router into my room and hard wire connected my Xbox to see if it would fix it but it didn't. Even using an Ethernet cable i still have this horrible connection on Xbox. any suggestions on what might be the issue?

any luck pinging better on another device (PC, cell phone or tablet)... have you tried power cycling your modem and router? ie unplug and hold the power button for 30-60 seconds and re plug in...if that doesn't help you might contact your ISP to see if they are doing work on the lines. this can cause troubles temporarily with ping. Or something else may be wrong and they are unaware of the issue. squeaky wheel gets the oil as it were.

On a computer thats on the same connection go here(http://www.speedtest.net/) and see if the pc is getting high ping.

I have tried all you suggested... I contacted charter and did what they asked it is not there fault for my current issue due to the fact that when i plugged my xbox into my modem directly it worked perfectly fine. and i did a speednet test on all xomputers in my house and they all produce the same numbers.... This is beyond pissing me off... and i know that Spamhaus thing isnt the issue being that this has been going on for days... as in its not a temporary issue
