Hello guys..
I previously had an EVGA GTX 660Ti SC with a OCZ 500W (OCZ500MXSP) PSU. I was able to reach level 40 on Skyrim with maxed out graphics until the card 'died' - started showing artifacts. I don't think this occured because of my psu. Now I got a FTW! edition because the store didn't have my model on stock.
The thing is: I want to be sure this PSU will handle this VGA with no problems.
The requirements as seen here: www.evga.com/products/pdf/03G-P4-3663.pdf, shows that the PSU needs 24A in the 12V rail
My power supply:
It shows 18A in each, or am I mistaken? Should I consider both rails as 36A?
My specs:
Intel Core i5 3470
AsRock Z77 Pro4
OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W (OCZ500MXSP)
Corsair 2x4gb
Seagate 500gb
4 fans in the case, a Corsair Carbide 400r
(EVGA GTX660Ti FTW)
Thanks is advance.
