Hey guys, I am in need of a new computer and I know my budget is really low, but is there a site where I can get GTX650 or higher and intel i7 3930k in a good computer for a 1k to 1.2k budget? any help appreciated, thank you :)

$1000 is midrange for a gaming rig (presuming you mean US Dollars), so it's not that low, but you don't need an i7-3930k. An i5-3570k or i5-3470 is plenty for a gaming rig and will help you stay within budget. Do you need monitor, OS, keyboard, and mouse?

I actually mean AU dollars, not much of a difference though. Do you think that will last me a while? I intend to play games like battlefield 3 and crysis 2 on high settings if possible, and no monitor, mouse or keyboard needed, thanks for the reply :) also do you know anywhere were I could get a cheap custom build for $1000, and a bit more if needed? im new, and this is my first gaming rig so I want to make sure I make the right choice.

How about this build then:

MauveCloud has a decent build, but it's missing RAM and an OS.

I choose each part based on a few assumptions.
CPU - I assumed you won't OC, so no need for a K series
MB - It has a bit more than you'll need, without having too much. MauveClouds MB might be better, but I didn't check
Memory - Some solid RAM, low profile heat spreader too
Storage - I know it's not an SSD, but it's quick, in terms of HDD quickness, and 1TB is lots of space
Video Card - You wanted NVidia. I'd prefer going with the 7950, but it's your choice. I think the cooler on this one is better than the cooler on the MSI card
Case - It has a decent price and front panel USB 3.0
PS - It's a good brand, and semi modular with all the connectors you'd need, no reason not to take MauveClouds PS
OD - In case you wanted to play and burn Bluray discs. If you just want to plad BD, it's $20 less, if just DVDs, it's $50 less
OS - When asked if you needed an OS, you didn't answer

I hope you like it!

I realized later I'd forgotten the RAM, but for your suggestion, an i5-3470 normally goes better with an H77 motherboard instead of Z77.

OP sent me a PM with a link to this video:

and this is the closest I could make via PCPartPicker Australia (already over budget w/o OS):

MauveCloud, I'm not sure if he sent that because he wants to play Diablo 3 (which a GTX 650 can run at 50 FPS on highest settings) or what exactly. The SSD boot time was incredibly fast though! Without knowing which games he wants to play, it's not nearly as easy to recommend builds.

The build that was on NewEgg that Mauve posted for us / you is overkill for Diablo 3, and more than you'll need for gaming at med-high at 60FPS average.

If you're still reading these posts, I need more info, like if Blu-ray is needed, or if you want to OC, or if you think the case I choose is ugly. ;)

As for right now, it's quarter to 1, so it's bed time for me.

Thanks for all the help guys! :) yes, os is needed but I have the sorted with gift vouchers and what not. The games I would like too play are Battlefield 3, crysis 2 etc and of course Diablo III but as you said thats a pretty smooth game. Blue ray is not needed and if I do need it in the future it isnt so expensive, thanks for the input its given me some good ideas :) but I still need to cut down a bit on the price :(

This build is my favourite, seems to mix with the price range (after i added ram ;) ) and all the components are compatible, great for there price and hopefully with run well.
