You could get a cheap mouse and keyboard for now and get an I5 instead. The quad core would suit you 10x better in gaming and not bottleneck you at all where that processor will start to fall behind real quick as more games get quad core capable. Get a bit cheaper case, mouse, keyboard and I5 would be my suggestion.

Which i5 do you suggest I try? And any suggestions for a cheap mouse and keyboard?

Cheapest i5 is i5-3350P, while best non-overclock is i5-3570. The performance different will be insignificant for most games, so I would recommend the 3350P, but if you have money to throw around, no harm in getting the i5-3570.

As for the mouse and keyboard, if you have been using the ones you have selected and are used to them, then get them, otherwise you should look for the perfect mouse and keyboard to suit your hands. If you are on the computer for hours a day every day, then getting perfectly comfortable ones will be important. What kinds of games do you play?

Well i decided to go with an i5 3570k, and I will mostly be playing shooters and an assortment of other modern games. I've never been too picky with my mouse and keyboard typically, but this is the first time I'll be gaming on a computer.
