Hi everyone,
So after falling in love with Windows 8, I have been running into some serious issues that google doesn't seem to have the answer to.
Putting my computer to sleep turns off the network adapter, says there is no network driver installed at all. I have an gigabyte assasin 2 x79 and have went through the driver update process several times with the bigfoot killer e2100 no avail.
I have tried finding the power management and not letting the network adapter turn off but that feature doesn't seem to be there. It's driving me insane!
Is there anything else I could try to fix this issue? Something I missed somewhere?

Also, sometimes my sound will randomly get distorted. I have a set of USB speakers that are not affected by this issue but when I'm using whatever I have connected to my computer, it'll randomly distort at times and it's unbearable. Toying around with the speaker configuration hasn't helped.
If anyone can save me from checking in to an asylum I would very much appreciate it!
