I Just bought a MSI 660 ti and 3 Monitors. I wanted to do 2d surround, but i have never done this before, but i think im doing it the right way.

1) i updated nvidia graphics card. ver.314.22. Controlpaner ver. 7.1.740.0

2) i go to Configure Surround, Physx. Check- Span displays with surround. Apply.(after i do this, it looks like it autorefresh and the box its not checked anymore.

3) i try again, Check- Span displays with surround, Configure, displays, apply - (Nvidia control panel crashes)

i have tried all i can think of, but i cant get it to work. idk if its my system or im missing a step.

How are the displays plugged into the graphics card? You have to have at least one plugged into DisplayPort, I believe.

I'd go with one HDMI to HDMI, one HDMI to DVI, and one HDMI to active display port. You're going to have to make sure to buy an active display port adapter - it'll be about twelve bucks.

But yeah, that's why you were having issues; one of the monitors has to be on a display port connection. I don't know why, but there it is.

i have 2 of the cables. 2 hdmi to dvi. so an adapter dvi to display port should be fine? o does it has to be an adapter. hdmi to displayport, and buy another hdmi cable?

A dvi to display port would be fine - just make sure that it's an active display port adapter.

The first or the second would both work. I'd probably go with the XFX because I'm not familiar with the Accell brand, but I'm sure it'd work just fine.

Of course, glad I could help. Come back and tell me if for whatever reason that doesn't work.

Ahhh, I guess that would do it. I'm glad that everything turned out okay, though!
