Is this a good Gaming rig?

You HAVE this already?

Your graphics card isn't horrible, and your ram is good, but the A-10 is NOT a competent processor - it's selling point is that it's cheap and has decent onboard graphics.

What power supply do you have, as well? I just want to make sure it's not going to blow up on you or set your computer on fire.

i play skyrim on just a pentium dual core g620 with 8gb ram and sapphire hd 7750. in real gaming situation, it's smooth enough and highly playable on 1080p ultra-high setting.

i don't know about bf3 as i don't play it on the pc.

I have a 430 watt power supply. I am new to the pc gaming world. I just dont want to spend hundreds. I havent put it together, I still need to buy hardrive and windows. Is this setup better than a ps3 or xbox?

For the same money you would spend on the A10-5800k, you could get a FX6300 which is a better option since you are getting a GPU anyway.

Otherwise that build looks fine.

Personally...if I were you, I would go to pcpartpicker.com and make a profile, and when you select a processor, it will show you only compatible parts so that you can be sure you're getting the right stuff...you can build out an entire PC, and it will show you where you can get it for the least money.

If you already have those things, then the A10 is NOT horrible....you will still be able to play your games and be fine, but you could have made a better choice for CPU and Motherboard and gotten a little more performance for your money spent.
