Poor CPU performance and possible upgrade

I have a pentium D 920 and gt 630 gfx card ...... i am getting very poor performance in games , as compared to what forums ( toms hardware for eg) get ..... also CPU usage surges to 90 % just after consecutive 6 refreshes

So , I decided to upgrade to Athlon II X4 640 as mentioned by

can someone give me a good mobo and ram ( within budget ) ( lowest as possible with good performance )
and what performance increase am i expecting ?

you will get a big cpu boost but still that cpu combo is pretty damn old also your gt630 gpu is not going to help you in games either and gpu under some games can be more important that said i had a pentium d 820 a million years ago overclocked to 4ghz and it was still slow compared to the next gen core2 duos and pentiums.
you gave no budget or mention of what games you play so its hard to tell how it will run or what best to get

let me correct it again it was actually the pentium d 805 with the 533fsb been so long i forgot, i realised i named the wrong chip when i looked up release date which was dec 05 thats a long time in computer years

budget about 7000-8000 INR combined///......

i want to play at low settings , crysis 3 , fc 3 look great even at the low settings , but the stutters and slowness , is srsly getting me off

best would be

1)intel g2010/2020 cpu @ rs 3400

2)Gigabyte b75 d3h mobo - @ rs 4000

currently you won,t find athlon and phenom cpus in india.
