I have a P7H55-M Motherboard with a core i5-760 processor (2.8GHz, not overclocked - something else I might look at later, and I believe my processor is of Lynnfield type). I currently have 4GB of DDR3 12800 RAM and would like to know if I could use any faster RAM on the market such as DDR3 14900 or 17000. Thank you in advance.

Yes you can use 1866MHz or 2133MHz Rams
Though using faster rams doent bring much perfomance gain on 1156 platform compared to the hole made in your pocket
normal standard is 1600mhz

To expand a little on Imomun's response, I doubt you would even see any performance change outside of benchmarking - and even then...
Kinda curious as to why you might want faster ram, are you having issues that you feel more speed will help or???
