Certain sites (http://imgur.com/ and my e-mail: http://live.mymts.net/ as far as I know) will not load on Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Google Chrome. They will work on other computers using the same internet connection (one is a mac, and the other is using windows xp). Most sites still work.

This is the error message when I try it on Chrome: Google Chrome could not load the webpage because login.domains.live.com took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection

I have looked around for an answer for a while, and I have tried clearing my cache and resetting my hosts to the default, neither of these fixed the problem.

Now things get odd. I tried resetting my router, and these sites work for a few seconds after I reset my router, then stop working again. These sites also work on Tor Browser ( for those of you who don't know: The Tor software protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location, and it lets you access sites which are blocked.) This is the only browser they work on as far as I know.

If further information is needed I will provide it, thank you for your help.

Also, just to clarify, I know somebody else was having problems because they had peerblock running. I do have peerblock, but I have tried whitelisting everything, disabling it, and uninstalling it, none of which made any difference.

Try looking in your HOST file in Windows/system32/drivers/etc. By default you should have no entries in here, If you have already checked this then check your firewall if you have one, disable windows firewall. Run a check for viruses using another anti-virus program like malwarebytes free.

I have checked my hosts and restored them to the default, I have tried disabling my firewall as well as running a scan with malwarebytes, microsoft essentials has picked up nothing either.
