hi,
i just built myself a new pc, but i have a problem with my PSU.

About 10 seconds after booting my new system up the PSU shuts down. the fan does not turn on at start either, which it has done, twice. maybe i was just lucky, maybe not, i have no idea.

According to the manual when pressing the self-test button on the PSU the fan should turn on for a moment, which it doesn't.

is there anything i can do about this? or should i get myself a new PSU from the store?

The Corsair AX760i operates in fanless mode until the power draw reaches 20% (i.e. 152 Watts) when the fan will turn on and ramp up with increasing power draw.

See the fan speed and temperature graph from techPowerUp.com's review of that specific PSU model:

i'm self-testing it with nothing plugged into the psu, other than power cable ofc. the light shows green, but the fan doesn't turn on.

i jump-started it again with a fan plugged in and the light turned red, without me pressing the selftest button.
