Is my solution a new graphics card?

My components are:
PSU: Corsair HX750
Motherboard: Msi Z77A-G45
GPU: EVGA Nvidia GTX 580 3GB
Windows 7 professional 64bit
Intel Core i7-2600k

When I play BF3 i my normal frame rate is 30-50FPS. When I play Arma I have to play in low graphics because the frame rate drops incredibly. I plan on buying 2xGTX 680 to not have any problems when it comes to graphics and frame issues because this is really annoying me a lot. So is this a good buy to fix my problem? Thank you.

Arma is a crappy coded game that even the top of the line systems struggle with. I wouldn't use it as a baseline to dump $800 on a video card. I also believe it's a fairly CPU intensive game so I'm not sure a new video card would help.

There is a few programs who name escapes me that will log your cpu/gpu usage while playing so you can see if the CPU or GPU is bottlenecked.

Instead of the 680s, how about 7970s in crossfire? You'll get better performance for less. I recommend the sapphire vapor-x cooler. You don't really need an upgrade, but if you want to, do it.

I think I feel more comfortable playing it same with Nvidia. I'm still new to this I bought my PC just about a year ago.

Hey that's cool, good for you for being loyal. Lots of people aren't aware of how good amd has gotten with their drivers and gpus, so I like to make sure people know their options.

What settings do you play Battlefield 3? It's not bad to play it on a lower setting, maybe drop some Anti Aliasing or set something to high instead of Ultra..
Your system doesn't need an upgrade, and unless you have to spend money, you should better save up for the next series of cards. I think it's reasonable to at least skip 1 generation of GPU's before upgrading.
