what should i get?
im on a tight budget, currently im working with about £300 BUT i will be adding more to that so the last thing im going to buy is my graphics card as im going to be using it for surfing the web and working on until summer when i can seriously game. So far im at

CPU: i5 3570k
MOBO: ASRock Z77
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb
PSU: Corsair CX600M 600W Modular

i dont know weather its worth saving alot on going for an i3.. i dont know the technical differences, so is it worth me buying an i3 or i5??

(my budget for a GPU will end up being around £130)

ive also got a case that can house the board so thats gonna be a late buy if i decide to get an i5

Unless you particularly like wasting your money dont buy an i3. 1155 platform is almost end of life and so are dual cores. Most softwares are beginning to be coded for 4+ cores so why invest in a dual when the market is moving away from them ?

For gaming you will want to go with the i5 3570k, it is the definite sweet spot right now. The i3 is still a fine CPU to use but you will not get the same performance as the i5. I would recommend that you go for the i3 and pair it with a more powerful GPU if this is a gaming oriented build, you do not lose that much performance it just will not be the stellar performance of the i5.

Going for the i3 means you can get a cheaper board such as a b75, which means there is more room for a better GPU.
