hi brett.. no its not USB.. its the mouse on the laptop.. please let me know what to do.. its annoying as hell.

Hi :)

Its called a TOUCHPAD on a laptop not a mouse, and it can be disabled in control panel mouse controls/touchpad or by Function keys normally...read your laptops manual, you may have disable it accidentally...

All the best Brett :)

touchpad, mouse, same thing. how would it be disabled if it works sometimes and it doesnt other times?

Hi :)

Because you MAY be pressing the enable/disable key accidentally while typing...OR its faulty...

All the best Brett :)

Hi :)

If you want to know YOUR key then you will have to read YOUR manual...

And I am gone....

All the best Brett :)

Maybe your Touchpad drivers got corrupted, go to your Laptops website and download and install the drivers for your Touchpad again but make sure you uninstall the old drivers first and see if that solves the problem.

If reinstalling the Touchpad drivers do not solve the problem, I suggest your best option would be to get a small wireless USB mouse, and bypass the problem all together.
