I just installed a Samsung SSD. It shows up in BIOS and I installed the Magician software it came with, but Windows doesn't recognize it. In Computer, it does not appear under Hard Disk Drives. Is there some step I missed, or could it be a problem with the SSD?

I'm assuming you want to install Windows on your SSD?

Disconnect the SATA cables from all other hard drives so just the SSD is connected and try again.

This is my second SSD. I already have one that has Windows on it. This one is just for more space, and Windows is not detecting it.

Yes it appears in disk management, but not My Computer. It said "Not initialized". I formatted it and now it says "Online", however it still does not appear in My Computer.

Edit: It is now working fine
