Is there a comparable graphics card out there?

So I wanted to start a build soon and came here originally to decide the perfect system, finally we came up with that system. One thing that came up was the use of a Radeon HD 7870 XT, which was unanimously the chosen card for my Mini ITX system. The thing is, is that this card has been "out of stock" for awhile and i cant find it anywhere but at newegg. So does anyone know where this hidden graphics card is? Is there one that is comparable to it? Should I be patient and wait or just go ahead and find a new one?
Whats your opinion.

If you've got the money for one grab a HD 7950.
Performs slightly better than the HD 7870 LE.

Why wait for XT? Beside when its back price will go up 100% sure.
