Hi everyone, im kinda of puzzled at the moment and a little freaked out. Im doing my first build, I bought a new CPU RAM and MOBO

AMD Fx-8350 8core cpu
ASUS M5A97 MOBO
G Skill 2133 8gigs of ram (2 sticks)

I "think" ive hooked everything up properly, I can get to the BIOS just fine, it says it recognizes my hardware, but when I go to boot to windows it halfway loads the windows logo then instantly bluescreens for less than a second then restarts! I have no idea how to fix it and I cant find anything online. I need some serious help.

My HDD and PSU are about 6 years old now, but I figured that wouldn't be quite an issue. If anyone can help me I would be eternally greatful. I can even logon Skype and show someone the build and all of the hardware to see if they might find a flaw I made.

Any help is awesome. THanks

Yip, its common when you upgrade. The drivers clash to much with the new mobo for example.

Do you have a windows disc lying around?

You do not need to fresh install necessarily. You can try a repair from a windows disc bootup. That should load default windows drivers.

Well if you have a bootable win7 USB flashdrive then it will do just fine for a repair. Boot into it, DO NOT INSTALL OR FORMAT THE DRIVE!!!
Run windows repair. Should fix it. Then boot into Windows. Do a driver sweep with Ccleaner or similar program. Restart and run the new mobo disk. Update and install all new drivers. DONE>!!!
