Hello,
I am planning on building a gaming PC for my first time. I plan to overclock, but I'm not sure what are good fans for overclocking. If anyone could give any suggestions on what to buy, that would be a GREAT help. Here are the parts that I plan to build with:
CPU:Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($114.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($74.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: OCZ Vector Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($159.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card ($379.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($108.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk II 750W 80 PLUS Silver Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($103.98 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($99.99 @ Newegg)
My main concerns are that I would ruin my CPU and/or my motherboard. As you can tell from my parts, I am not planning to use a liquid cooling system, so I guess I would need multiple, really good, performance fans. If you could provide me with some suggestions, that would be a big help. I don't know which ones to use, so I'm stuck. I don't want to be spending more than $1600 (total). Also, if they have LED's in them, that would be great too. (just something to make the tower look cooler and fancier. Not required though )
P.S. I already have my monitor, mouse, and keyboard picked. Since they aren't relevant I didn't post them. If you need to see that, for some reason, let me know, and I will post them.
Thanks for any help!
