Hello, I built my first computer yesterday and it wouldn't boot. Every fan is working and spinning, my mobo got power etc.

However it wouldn't post up on the screen, the only error I could find was that the DRAM Led was red.

This is the full component list:

Case: NZXT 810 Switch White
Mobo: Asus Sabertooth Z77
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k
GPU: EVGA GTX 680
RAM: Corsair 8GB DDR3 Vengeance LP 2x4 (White) Not on the qualified list but should't matter.
Power supply: Corsair AX 860 (Fully modular)
SSD: Samsung 256GB 840 Pro

So far i've tried:

-Resetting CMOS.
-Every single memory slot with both sticks, also ran MemOk! on both of them.
-A friend of mine who have built a lot of computers helped rebuild it from scratch but still the same problem so I don't think there was anything wrong with the build in the first place.

Anyone have any clue what the problem might be?

I've went through that list now, i've done all that correctly. 9 stand-offs in the A(for ATX right?) No cables behind mobo, like i said i installed the CPU twice and it was correct the first time, all cables correct. GPU/Memory is firmly in their respective sockets, (can't even get out the gpu now, lol)

When i installed the computer i touched the metal parts of the case so i wouldn't conduct any static electricity (really don't think that's the problem) A friend of mine has ordered the same mobo so i might try plug in all my parts into his and see if it works(then we know that the mobo is at fault) and i can RMA the mobo.
