wht i think is without using a cooler the gtx 670 would heat a lot compared to hd 7950 with use of 6 hours........so is hd 7950 the right choice for ultra gaming with max settings?

GeForce:
Less Heat
Less Sound
Less Power Consumed
HIGH Price

AMD:
Price-Effective
Comes with free games
Faster in those games
Higher build quality IIRC

I agree with dudewitbow although the 670 is faster The 7950 most likely will OC better (and has way more compute power), the 670 gives you CUDA , PhysX, TXAA, FXAA, ADap. Vsync etc and lower power draw. The 670 is definitely faster but cost more. Both are solid buys.I have two 670's and love them i don't have any issues my son has a 7950 and he loves it.If you still can't decide which card to take try looking at the games that you play or specific features that you want.If cost really matter to you then you might want to go with whatever is cheaper to you.The good news is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 and the AMD Radeon HD 7950. They offer performance that is nearly as good as that of the high-end models, but at a more modest price. If you stick with a 1080p or 1920 by 1200 display with one of these cards, you should be in good shape.

Battlefield 3 has always been a good performer on Nvidia cards, and it is a guarantee that Battlefield 4 will be as well.

HardOCP really likes the GTX 670 over the 7950 Boost card in Crysis 3.

Quotes:
"The GeForce GTX 670 was also a good card at 1080p and the GeForce GTX 660 Ti impressed us with its performance. We thought the GTX 660 Ti would be bottlenecked, but it performed well. We were able to play at 1080p, with SMAA Medium, though we had to customize some settings by lowering these. What was really disappointing was the Radeon HD 7950 Boost and Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition performance. At 1080p we really had to lower in-game settings in order to get playable performance."
"Overall, if you want the best midrange video card performance, look toward the GeForce GTX 660 Ti or GTX 670 for this game at 1080p."

TechPowerUp has the GTX 670 significantly faster overall in its suite of 19 benchmarks:
