Basically, the title says it all, but I am wondering how to fix it, right now I have the drivers at 13.3 Beta Catalyst and it is locked at OC 1100 MHz. I don't want to go through the hassle of RMA so I want a solution to this.

SPecs:

CPU- i5 3570K core clock
RAM- 16GB g. skill ripjawz (2x8)
PSU- Thermaltake 850W bronze certified
CPU cooler- Enermax TB60 200W fan
2TB WD
ASUS PBZ77 motherboard

Solution

I think no drivers will help you. Now you can try disable all sound and networking devices in device manager (all of them) and run Furmark again and check latency checker. Maybe it's some of the other components making problems.

Check everything before you RMA it.

The temps are ok, around 65 degrees on average. I got a 2850 on the score but for a 7970 at 1100 MHz is not good and there was stuttering every half second.

What is a DPC latency tool?

Umm when I ran the latency tool , nearly everything was red. Every time it stuttered it went max red.

So obviously it is the video card, should I RMA it or wait until new drivers come out to see if it will fix the problem?

Glad to help you man :)

But don't rush with RMA. It may be that is networking bothering you. Some virtual NIC's can cause some problems like the one Kaspersky IS creates so basically your problem could return as soon as you connect to network again.

I will try it in a new PCIe slot and etc. so I will see what I can do before RMAing
