Hey guys, it's my first post and i am in need of your assistance, i am looking at purchasing the parts for my first PC

Purchase date: a few weeks

Budget: 1200 - 1500 range including mouse, monitor, keyboard.

System usage: Gaming, bit of everything ie movies and internet surfing

Are you buying a monitor: yes

Parts to upgrade: all i guess..

Do you need an O.S: yes

Preferred website for parts: pccasegear.com.au

Location: Australia, ACT

Parts preference: Intel, and I don't mind corsair cases but not to fussed

Overclocking: Yes

Sli or Cross-firing: If it is advised or recommended certainly

Monitor resolution: Best I can get for price

Additional comments: I would prefer to have room to upgrade in the future and overheads with the Psu for overclocking/sli etc

Why the upgrade: Always wanted a pc and i suppose now is as good of a time as any with the new consoles and all.

Yes. However the next real gpu upgrade would be a Radeon 7970 (7950 is too close to the 7870XT), which will run you around $400 (extra $180) and a better case would be the CM Storm Enforcer for around $90 (extra $40).

P.S: These prices are from the merchant you picked. I am also limited by the products they carry.

consider getting this 7870XT, it is about 8% faster but only costs you 1% more relative to your entire build

save your money and grab the blue, it is the same speed (only shorter warranty 3 yrs vs 5yrs)

I would grab this mb over the extreme 6, better phases/power delviery

cheaper option

For ram get one of these, better fit under cooler

Your vengeance ram will fir the 212 evo but slight offset due to large ram coolers (ram doesn't really need it)
