My computer turns itself off after 30+ minutes of Arma 2 Gameplay

System specs:
P4m800pro-m7 MOBO
ANTEC PP-303XP PSU
Pentium D 830 3.0GHz
Radeon X1600Pro IceQ 512Mb
2GB DDR2
(usually I have three HDDs in it and a DVD-R drive.. but I unplugged the dvd drive and one of the HDDs to *maybe* compensate for the 180w Max on my PSU thinking that may be the problem, but I'm not sure.)

Does anyone know what my issue may be? The system isn't overheating because all the temps are normal for a gaming session.

A little disclaimer: Yes, my computer is the equivalent of poop right now.. I know. My main rig's MOBO shorted out and ruined it and the Video card.. so I'm stuck with a Frankenstein I made out of spare parts for now. Whatever allowsme to play DayZ I say..

It could be and probably is PSU problem. You are probably pushing it over limit and it just turns off.

Your CPU is like 130W and GPU like 40-50-60 something like that and your 12V rail is 15 amps = 180W.

So you're on max load all the time.

heat, or PSU or PSU getting hot.

Show us the temps of your cpu and gpu before it fails. if it is your psu temp then all you can do it try to cool it and see if it gets better.

I realized it was the PSU, I've since fixed it. I took my main rig apart and used my high wattage PSU in it. it's running smoothly now. Thank you
