Hey guys, I have a i5 3570k and recently got a new cooler. the cooler i got is a Thermaltake SpinQ VT and i was wondering how far i will be able to push my cpu safely. How many gHz will be stable with this cooler. Also for future reference at what temprature does an overclock become unsafe?

Well the thing is with overclocking there no guarantees it's luck of the draw. I recommend you keep the temps 65-75 max or less these should help you get a better understanding http://www.overclock.net/t/1291703/ivy-bridge-overclocking-guide-asus-motherboards

All chips are different. There is no way to tell. All overclocking is trial and error. You will want to keep the chip as cool as you can. No more than 75 C when using Prime 95 or IBT should keep you safe when using normal loads.

It really all depends on your cpu temps. Without OC you should idle around 26-34c. Your gonna wanna overclock until your cpu reaches 72c, after a 1hr stress test. Some people are ok with going higher than that, so thats up to you. It appears that it's not a direct contact cooler, which is odd. I wouldn't expect an amazing OC unless you luck out and you CPU has really good silicon.
