Hello All,
I currently bought a logitech z506 5.1 surround sound.
Mobo : MSI z77a-g43
Sound Output : Realtek T.T....

Did my research, updated drivers / uninstalled reinstalled / Windows sound setting / Realtek Audio Manager Sound settings / Updated Windows / Basically everything i could do for free.
I do understand some people got rid of this problem with by upgrading their Soundcard or switching Audio cables.
I cant switch audio cables and sound cards are out of my range.
I even double checked the Audio Headers on the Mobo no problems.
If anyone has found an answer to this issue please let me/us know!
Thank you
and Win 7 wow... pretty much a downgrade from XP ....

Solution
i use the G45 of that board and you need to install the THX drivers in order to get all options of your integrated soundcard...

If already done, go to THX control panel, Surround enabled and move the cursor where you start to listening to rear speakers and adjust it the way you want... (perso, i use 90% settings on logitech Z906 with that card as a Xonar is used for my headset)

If that doesn't work, right click on sound device icon and go to your speakers, then properties and make a config for 5.1 system with full speaker coverage, then it should work...

If still not working, repost and we will help you to love windows 7 and have surround ;)

please provide the following info:

1) What is the exact problem? No audio at all? Or no surround?

2) What cable are you using to connect to the z506, optical or 6 individual jacks?

3) What kind of 5.1 content are you trying to play? Pre-encoded Dolby 5.1, Dolby HD via Blu Ray, or surround sound while gaming?

Hi all again,
So sorry for not posting the question.
Well like other My rear wont work on some applications and games. So bvasically not getting the true surround sound i should.
Example. Guild wars 2 / League of legends / Starcraft 2 / Diablo 3 / Youtube getting true surround sound where all 5 speakrs are working.
and BF3 / Borderlands 2 / CSgo / All other steam games / Windows media player / Notice it goes to stereo mode...
