which motherboard to buy

Hello all!

First of all I must say that I am a bit new here, so please be patient :) I'm curently building up a new sistem. I have decided to build around a i5-3570k. And on long term, I will OC the cpu.
But now I have come across a problem in the motherboard segmet... I have 3 competetors that I like:

Asus sabertooth Z77
Gigabyte Ga-z77x-d3h
asrock z77 extreme 4

The problem is, that when I went through the reviews, the chepaer ones (Gigabyte and asrock) had better results!!! How is this possible? The test sistems were identycal and everything, but still, they had better numbers coming out?

Can smeone please explain this to me why are the results so odd? And what mobo do you recomend?

drivers can make a difference...those numbers are only accurate for the drivers/bios used. the situation can change at the drop of a hat. high end boards are usually more dependable and last longer. that said i have heard the sabertooth isn't the best board. i would go with asrock extreme 4 its a awesome board.

in addition to drivers and bios, some boards like gigabyte sniper override default clock speed of components
for example, gigabyte g1 sniper uses higher turbo for more active cores than default

so maybe extreme 4 is also doing something like this
thus better performance without changing anything

i will choose the one with more overclocking capability

Thank you for the fast replys. But now I got smacked on the head from my buddies. They all told me that I should buy a gigabyte motherbord. Eather a Z77X-UD4H or a Z77X-UP5 TH. And now I'm totaly lost.... Help? :(

Now that I wen't through all the boards and everything, I think I will realy go with the asus maximus :) Thank you for the help !
