5 keys stopped working

For no known or apparent reason the A, S, D, F and G keys stopped working on my wireless keyboard for my desktop. Any idea how to fix this short of buying a new keyboard ?

Dirt/gunk/Cheeetos under the keys.

Remove the batteries, take it apart, run it through the dishwasher on low heat, air dry, top rack. Let it air dry for a couple of days. Yes, I've done this, yes it works.
No dishwasher? Rinse it out in the sink.

Nothing to lose..it doesn't work now.
