Well, closer to 50 than I like. Ok, I'm currently playing wow on an old Dell with minimal settings so I know anything will seem a shocking improvement. I mostly play WoW, more than my wife would like, I'm sure, but may move to some fps. I don't need peripherals. Have my monitor, keyboard+mouse. I have been lurking here for days and have decided, using a lot of info garnered here, with this setup.

I chose a small ssd for faster booting. I would appreciate any tweaks.
I'm in Canada, East coast, so no outlets to speak of. For some reason I have an aversion to Intel and seem to gravitate to the amd based systems. It is entirely possible that the bright-lights of more cores has me mesmerized with no rationale behind it.

I have a 22" LG Flatron. I don't think it will do 1080. A new monitor might be in the cards once my taxes come in.

It dosnt look to bad, everything should work fine. If mainly what you are playing is WoW then the 7770 will be fine. I dont know to much about your SSD. I would take the time to do a little research on it. I recommend Samsung 840 pro series 128 gb i think its about the same price as the corsair. And has a good rep.

Also, if you are not planning on adding a second graphics card, you could save a little money and get a Corsair CX 430 watt. It will run that system with ease.

it looks nice but you can get a better GPU if you want to play new FPS games like BF4(will hit the market before the end of the year) or other AAA FPS titles, if not your 7770 will easily beat WoW demands.

I have some bandwidth in my budget and I don't have my 'heart set' on any particular component. So any advice will be listened too and considered. If swapping for a slightly more up-to-date cpu will make the entire system pertinent for a longer period of time, I can swing that.

As an aside. I have an older Alienware mid-tower that had an old P3 in it. Is it worth the savings to use the older case, or go with a newer one with more cooling options? This one only has one small side fan and on rear.

I think you could easily salvage the Alienware case, as most motherboards (except EATX) will fit in it with ease. They really both have fine cooling, a new case is not really worth the investment, again the difference with cases is negligible, maybe a couple degrees C.

EDIT: I would also like to note that if you sacrifice the SSD (and can bare load times) you could end up with an extra $100 to spend on a better GPU and or CPU, that will increase your compute performance and make your in game performance a significant amount better.

As a heads-up. I was ordering from Newegg when I noticed that I was being billed almost $30, for some parts, then an additional $30 for others. I inquired about this and was told that Newegg has many warehouses, and the parts are spread across all of them. If the parts have to come from more than one warehouse, then you are charged shipping for each warehouse that the parts come from. When I inquired if it was possible that someone could order 5 items and have to pay $30 for each item shipped, when purchased from the same website, the representative said that was possible.
I did a pricematch and bought everything from NCIX.
Thanks again for all your help. Hopefully I'll get my parts in a couple of weeks and start a build.
Cheers.

It definitely helps to shop around. Newegg has the best selection but they don't always have the best prices. If you check out the sticky I made the other day it links to hundreds of stores from around the world.
